Troubleshooting
Self-help
First things first: check to see whether it is a known issue.
It is usually a good idea to produce a program execution
trace. The trace will contain valuable information. Chances are that you get
an aha-experience by looking at the trace.
Reporting bugs
It is usually a good idea to post a problem description to the
mailing list first.
Only if you find that the problem you identified has not been reported before, you
should create a record in the
bug database.
Be prepared to make available additional information (screenshots,
program execution trace).
